The Teeter-Totter Life
and March Goals!
March Goals
I am a goal setter, many of you probably know that about me. Its both a blessing and a curse sometimes. But I’ve gotten better at not focusing so much on the result of the goal but instead the journey along the way. That being said I did set some small goals for March that I thought I’d share with you.
Eat 5 cups of vegetables/fruit daily (this is harder then you think!)
10k steps a day 5+ days a week (I get to try running again this week!)
Complete Sally McRae’s mobility challenge (https://my.playbookapp.io/sally-mcrae/programs/mobility-challenge/29794)
Read 5+ pages a day
Do you have any March goals?
The Teeter-Totter Life
Some days, I feel like I'm on a personal teeter-totter, shifting between two extremes. On one side, there's the urgency and panic of feeling like life is slipping away. On the other, there's complacency, a dangerous forgetfulness that this moment, these experiences, are fleeting and irreplaceable. Places I've been, people I've loved, may never be within reach again. This awareness sparks fear, a sense of needing to grasp every opportunity.
Both feelings are valid. However, I've found the sweet spot lies in the present moment, a balance between urgency and complacency. Being present means acknowledging the preciousness of time without succumbing to fear, and appreciating the now without falling into apathy.
Living solely in urgency or complacency would mean missing the beauty of life. Maintaining this balance, keeping the teeter-totter level, is challenging. Some days, it tips more to one side than the other, and the effort can feel overwhelming.
Yet, this work is profoundly worthwhile. This life, miraculous as it is, deserves our full attention. And part of that work is extending grace to ourselves when we inevitably lose our balance. We’re all learning to find that center, one teeter-totter wobble at a time.
From my heart to yours,
Keli💚

The last ultramarathon I completed before I tore my meniscus, hoping to get back to this!
